See the destitute - the walking zombies who had at one time been somebody's baby. A sight that up until a couple of years ago did not happen in America. The question is what happened?
America 2.0, is the result of a triad of corruption between private interests, the elected, and bad public employees who attempt to make and fulfill policy that makes no sense and has serious long term consequences are repercussions to the public and the city's infrastructure.
There is no system within the city that holds problem managers accountable for fraud or bad decisions, because too many below them are too terrified to complain because they've heard stories of what happens to those that do.
This system of corruption promotes the most ruthless, ambitious, and cunning individuals into positions of power where they rise above the most competent, often using politics and dirty laundry to get themselves promoted, when they lack talent and/or commit fraud for powerful people which I have attempted to document here on this website.
The current site is a constant work in progress, and I am not a professional web developer, just a former public employee, so please excuse the technical boo boos.
I have found at least four (as of 7/2023 FIVE) developments which used fraud in order to avoid CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) regulations which provide the people and their neighborhood with environmental protection from exploitation .
The use of fraud by city employees to give breaks to developers whose projects would have permanent repercussions to the neighborhood of Oxford Square, which the city promised 20 years ago to protect in the Wilshire Community Plan. The City is willing to give another project to a developer who must figure out a way to keep building, because if he stops he has no money for his creditors. City Planning has been nice in attempting to get $650,000 apartment built or giving away environmental exemptions so that there is no responsibility for what happens as a result of their bad decisions. The problem is that the city hasn't accepted that there is no way humanly possible to provide enough tax revenue for salary and benefits, retirement and worker's comp.
The most recent example of corruption is at is 1041-1047 S. Crenshaw Blvd.
However, with another 97 unit building, the lot sizes almost equal to the three homes it abuts - it looks like developers are getting ready to have their way with Oxford Square because even if you are violated of your environmental rights no one will hear you when you scream.
In total, approximately 160 units, over five lots pushed by City Planning.
